Nick Davies started his career as a trained mechanic and fitter with Lloyds Motors (Rover Dealer) in Cardigan, West Wales. After qualifying he went to work for a business that sold Yamaha ATV Quad Bikes (all terrain vehicles). However, 1991 saw this business reduced their ATV business due to their diversification into another venture, as a result of this Nick Davies saw the continued need for an experienced ATV mechanic in the area, and in that year Nick Davies set up as a self employed mechanic offering servicing and maintenance to Yamaha ATV owners.

With an advertisement in his local newspaper, the businesses first three customers were found and from this base the business grew to its current customer base of over 2500 customers.

In 1997 Yamaha Motors (UK) Ltd approached Nick Davies to become one of their official main ATV dealers for Yamaha ATV’s and parts, as a result of this Nick Davies has been able to expand the business to include selling new ATVs and parts as well as selling second hand bikes and providing full workshop facilities.

In this time Nick Davies now trading as Nick Davies has established itself as one of Yamaha’s top five ATV dealers in the UK, offering an extensive knowledge of Yamaha ATV’s and parts to customers and other dealers.

In July 2005 the business were appointed Suzuki ATV dealers and the business can now supply Suzuki ATV's and parts, as well as offering service and repairs on both Suzuki and Yamaha ATV's.

The business runs a busy service workshop and parts department, supplying other dealers and the end users with parts and advice, the company carries parts stock to the value of £50,000 enabling customers to have parts within 24 hours anywhere within the UK. The company also supply parts into the European Community.

The business has grown gradually to meet the increasing demand of ATV’s and in recent years the growing leisure market.

The majority of racing parts for Sports and Leisure ATV’s are manufactured in the USA, as a result of this, Nick Davies Nduro invested £150,000 in CNC Lathes and VMC Machining Centre, enabling the business to produce high quality performance parts in house for the fast growing UK market, these parts are manufactures as Nduro Performance Parts. In 2007 the business was streamlined and the reins pulled in on what had become a bit of a run a way horse ! as a result we reduce staff levels, some by natural wastage, reduced our stock, concentrated more on what the business was good at, stopped a lot of un proven advertising, and took back control, instead of letting the business control us. As a result, happier customers, owners, and staff and a happier bank manager !

Nduro axles are now the fastest growing axle for sales in Europe and each month our European dealer base grows. Our growth in the UK has not been a buoyant as we had hoped, but we can put this down to the UK dealers attitude that expensive imported axles must be better than “that bloke Nick Davies homemade axle !” Guess it proves that you can't win every market. Nick Davies wins ATV/Quad Dealer of the Year award

In 2007 we were awarded the 2006 ATV dealer of the year Award. It was for us, a fantastic acknowledgement for the years of hard work we have put into the business. We would like to thank all our customer and suppliers who helped make this happen. Thank you.   Pembrokeshire-based Nick Davies NDuro has won the prestigious ATV/Quad Dealer of the Year Award. The Award was presented to dealer principals Jayne and Nick Davies by Richard Ruston, the retiring president of the Agricultural Engineers Association (AEA) at an industry conference and lunch held at London's Savoy Hotel on 17 April 2007.

Nick Davies has built the business over the past 10 years as a main franchised dealer for leading manufacturers, and last year made the decision to focus entirely on the Suzuki brand.

With Nick as the main mechanic and Jayne looking after the parts and business-side, the couple have built a loyal customer base, locally and across the UK. The company also manufacturer precision performance parts for the ATV market under the Nduro brand, whilst Nick is an enthusiastic competitor on the Quad racing circuit.

The Dealer of the Year Awards are organised by leading trade magazine Service Dealer, and this year the awards were sponsored by Briggs & Stratton, Hayter, Husqvarna, John Deere and Kubota.

Runners up in the ATV/Quad Dealer of the Year Awards were ARK ATV Minehead; ATV Services Scotland; Cleanacres Machinery, Cheltenham and Fieldens of Stowmarket.
