Alloy Wheels and Skidplates
What is Beadlock?
Simply put, a beadlock
is a mechanical fastening device that literally clamps
the tyre's bead onto the wheel rim (see photo at right).
Once this is done, it is nearly impossible for the
tyre to become unseated from the rim, otherwise known
as "de-beading." De-beading
is a common problem for a wheel without a beadlock
that is subjected to hard cornering forces or impacts
from big jump landings - when the tyre can simply peel
itself from the rim, causing a sudden loss of pressure
and possible loss of control. Without a headlock, only
the tyre bead's tight fit on the rim and air pressure
serve to hold the tyre in place on the wheel.
Even offroad/cross-country riders can benefit from
beadlocks: should the tyre go flat from a puncture
or sidewall cut, it will remain in place and not de-bead.
OMF offers the finest Beadlocks available, precision
crafted from the highest quality materials for excellent
fit and unsurpassed performance and reliability.

OMF Beadlock Wheels are available in
12",
11", 10", 9" & 8" sizes.
The 12" is the most common choice for owners of
late model 4x4 ATV's and are used both in front and rear.
Many offsets and bolt patterns are available. Finishes
include anodized red, blue, black or polished aluminum.
The 10" Beadlock Wheel is the most common size
wheel in the sport, as many ATVs came stock with 10" wheels
and are often used with a low-profile tire in racing
applications to reduce sidewall flex. This size opens
up a huge selection of tire options for both front and
rear usage, no matter what the application.
Based on the highest-quality Douglas Red Label wheel,
this beadlock is available in many offsets and width
variations. Color choices include anodized red, blue,
black or polished aluminum.
Skidplates |
 |
|
| OMF Skid Plates are available for most popular, current
sport model ATVs, including the Yamaha Banshee and Warrior
and all Honda TRX FourTrax models. These plates utilize
a modular design, which means each plate-chassis, engine
and swingarm matches up with each other and flows together
for a clean fit and maximum underside protection. Perhaps
best of all, if one of these components is damaged beyond
repair, it can be replaced separately, you don't have
to purchase a complete set or one long, expensive skid
plate as is the case with other suppliers. |
